Fils tricotés, cordes nouées, trames colorées, le textile dessine un cadre. Par sa surface tombante, malléable et fluide, nous sommes invités à l’habiller et l’habiter. À travers l’appellation Mesh, se rattache un ensemble de parois modulables. Ce filet épouse la forme du corps et permet d’apporter confort, légèreté et solidité. On s’y installe un instant, s’y balance ou s’y repose.
Knitted yarn, knotted rope, colorful weft, the textile draws a frame. By its falling surface, malleable and fluid, we are invited to dress and live. Through the Mesh appellation, there is a set of modular walls that complement each other. This net follows the shape of the body and brings comfort, lightness and solidity. One can settles there for a moment, swings there or rests there.
En collaboration des entreprises françaises et belges, le projet souhaite valoriser les savoirs faire locaux et ainsi présenter un produit via des compétences régionales.
Mesh est ainsi constitué d’une corde, majoritairement en lin, d’une barre métallique cintrée puis thermolaquée, et d’un leste en bois massif tourné puis vernis.
In collaboration with French and Belgian companies, the project aims to promote local craftsmanship and introduce a product through regional skills.
Mesh is made up of a rope, mostly in linen, a bent metallic bar then powder coated, and a weight of solid wood turned then varnished.
